@angrykor KVM that we were referring to earlier as a virtualization platform is the virtualization layer in Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM). A hypervisor is a program that allows multiple operating systems to share a single hardware host.
What you are referring for KVM of ip is a way to manage a server or multiple remotely, A KVM switch (with KVM being an
abbreviation for "keyboard, video and mouse") is a hardware device that
allows a user to control multiple computers from one or more sets of
keyboards, video monitors, and mice.
Hahah those asking for requests on page 2 are literally gonna hire a bunch of freelancers and give them your 'instructions' and sit on the beach all day.
@shaun I've just had a client call up and wants to restart SEM with me again, I stopped in June/July last year and I only used SER on his site. Now that it stopped abruptly, there was no link-building going on, it's suddenly taken a shock upwards spike in the last two months. No new links, no link-building at all, in fact, links are dropping off (as you'd expect with SER only linking).
So.....I've seen this before.....what's changed? Has a platform(s) suddenly been given a boost from Google? Is it just link age? I've only ever run ultra-spam on his site (local SEO) and he was happy with it. He was ranking well for a good few keywords #1s but there were a few that I couldn't get past #6.
@JudderMan I spoke about this on this forum a while ago.
when you are done building links to a site, you'll see a massive upwards shift in rankings when you're letting the site stew with no active link building, I can't explain in details but I did make a post about your exact findings.
@Tim89 can you send a link I've had a look and can't find it - how long have you seen this happen? It's been 5 months for my client....I don't think I can trust this happening and stop link building on sites for 5 months to check. However it's weird that his and another client have both seen major upshifts in Dec/Jan and both were clients and stopped. I think I've found a few domains that are really strong and it's either age or they've been given some bump and effectively T2'd which has had a knock on effect. With that in mind, I really need to dust off SER and clean down the lists I'd created or just stop link building and go and sip cocktails on the beach while 'not' doing anything seems to be the best way...
@shaun nope he's just let the site sit while he was building a new one and starting a couple new ventures.
On a similar subject, I sold a few sites to a guy on Flippa and while I was doing well, they were set and forget sites, I've just checked the SEMRush on one of them which was making a decent monthly sum for 3 years (cost me £20 all in to buy domain and build it), and he's suddenly seen a huge jump in rankings. I was ranking well, he has no idea about SEO, he just moved hosting and it's rocketed.......either my accounts are flagged or my GWMT being connected (and recently unconnected) are a problem. Time to have one account for each site. I tend to randomise it, nothing really sinister or bad links. Need to test this as I can't figure out if it's me or my hosting that's an issue.
I think I did not see a case-study or some information regarding the next question: Does it matter if you have backlinks from a limited amount of domains (for example only the RankerX platforms)? - instead of building as much as possible backlinks at as much as possible unique domains.
@shaun - good stuff, giving it a try. I forget if I mentioned this before, but I've also moved all of my rank tracking over the SerpLab, which saved me like $30 / mo
TBH I have gave up looking into it and I have moved on, I have a few things climbing with new methods but time will tell if they hold or not.
I think a few things at once were involved tbh, some of it seemed to be anchor text related, some maybe due to trackbacks being used too as well as a few other things.
New post online guys, not directly related to a GSA product but keyword research goes hand in hand with SER.
It hasnt been proof read yet as I have been ill with head aches all week but I wanted to push it out to meet my goal of one post per week but I will proof it ASAP.
i'm just a little bit curious. What makes a Web 2.0 a great backlink? Is it old accounts that has been created long time ago(use old accounts)? will new accounts be less effective ?

@redrays yea so was I, I build my contextual profiles and forum links a little differently now. Explaining it is my next post for the blog .
