Brag To Me About Your Serp Gains From GSA?

I brought up to some buddies in a skype chat I've been using GSA more recently
and how some guys are really getting it to build links fast.

One of them asked me if they were actually using it to rank anything difficult?

It occurred to me I had not heard of anyone bragging about their rankings obtained with GSA.
So I had no good answer for him.

Anyone have anything to brag about they can attribute to GSA?

PS This thread is in no way intended to bash this software, I think it is amazing,
however, I would love to hear some success stories.

    Seriously, tell your friends that there are many people that have ranked for very big terms. Meaning top 5. I have done it for 150,000 exact match and lower.

    No one is going to talk a lot about this stuff. And this is a pubic forum.

    Just remember that there is no single tool on the market that can get you there - and keep you there. You better have a bunch of tools, tactics, and secret weapons. If you don't, you will get slaughtered.

    And one more thing. The life expectancy of rankings has gotten a lot shorter over the years. It is much less seldom that people hang on to a competitive #1 ranking for more than 6 months to 1 year. The algorithm changes.

    Bottom line: I have made a full time income in the last 12 months just because of SER. But it is not the only tool I have. And again, no single tool will keep you there. You'd better have more tricks up your sleeve.

    3rd spot for 65k Exact Match is my best. Pretty much all T1 links I use GSA for, rank on 1st page, just need to be patient. And be ready for slap.
  • GSA 1st page 150k exact match pyramid linkings took me one month

    @lioncool did you drip feed every day as @ron and others recommend, say 10 links to T1 every 24 hours?

    Mine is post Penguin 2.0.

    Sitting in top 3 postions since January for about 5-8 ~50ks. Top 10 for about 15 more.  I think it's possible to rank in top 3 for most terms if you put your back into it.  WIll they be here next January though? No idea.
  • @spunko2010 What do you think of e-commerce keywords? How hard in your experience to outrank keywords where on the first page of SERP, big brands such as Amazon, Target, Lowes, etc. dominate the page?

    I know it's much harder if the first 1-2 results are the company dominating the market but how much harder in your experience if you want to outrank those sites which have domain age between 12-15 years?
  • I would like to post here my experience with GSA hoping it will help someone to understand the nature of this tool. I ve tried to rank websites for many keywords ( easy and very competitive ones ) and in my opinion you can rank anything included quite difficult keywords but the hardest part is to stick your website ranking high  there. For some reason after a bit all of my website lose rank. Someone get slapped some other lose positions. It became a rule for me and thats why I constantly build websites and build links. I would like to hear from someone that has a website ranking high for a very long time. Is it possible?
  • @theguruland How do you do that? Do you use aggressive link building? Or slow but steady aproach? That would explain a bit about why it happens.
  • @audioguy It happen in a faster way if you do aggressive link building. But in the end , what is aggressive for you? Its very subjective, If someone can rank websites and make them stay there then its truly super but I think its hard. I also think that the last update spot very well spammy links. My opinions but for sure the life of a website on the top 5 rank is a way much shorter . My opinion ofc , is someone can get his websites rank and stick I d be happy to know how :)
  • It's not me but your approach. If you feel like your rank doesn't stick long enough, how long is long? How long is "a bit"?

    Then if you explain your approach more, other more experienced members may tell how what to tweak, what to test, etc. to make it better.

    I assume you want help to tweak your method. Whether it is subjective or not, it's based on other people's experience.
  • Ranking in 2nd place for 'payday loans' in under 24 hours.
  • As I said before I tried both ways. Aggressive , and building slow links etc. At some point it drop. Drop and do not go up anymore. Talking with many other GSA users I understood that I was not alone . Its very common expecially in very competitive niches and if you build link fast .

    @doubleup HOW? :D

    @theguruland

    What about types of links? What do your 1st tiers look like, platforms, content, contextual links, Domain PR, etc.

    I think this would have a factor as well.

    @doubleup I'd like to hear as much as you could share without giving away your strategy (if possible)

    Just a guess I'd say it involves plenty of 301's and a lot of instances of GSA hammering 24-7?

  • @bigmark1972  1T Article , Social , Wiki and sometimes forums and microblogs .I use Kontent Machine for 1st tier content and I build links on pr 1 websites but I tried really a different number of options . I can guarantee you that I ve tried really a lot of variants and all had the same destiny. To be totally honest I ve noticed that NO website stay top 1 2 or 3 very long time for a certain keyword and those positions rotates a lot . Of course if @doubleup can illuminate us about how he does those little miracles we will be very happy ;)
  • Spam can get you to the top, but you need SOLID on page, a mix of TRUE authority links and a sprinkle of social engagement to stay there. However, I have noticed that sites do not stay at the top for as long as they used too unless they are a true brand!

    With all that said, it is highly dependent on your niche, your competition and your site. There are so many things that come into play that it is hard for anyone to give specific advice without seeing others sites/niches. And that's just not something most people want to do.

  • ok why portconmaine.com is ranking 6 for payday loans
  • @rodol hacked joomla site, it's very common in pharma niche.
  • @rodol The payday loan niche is all over the place

    Regarding my site. It's no big secret, just take a look at the URL and what i done with it. Want to rank? Simply replicate what those in the top 3 positions are doing, it's really no more complicated than that.........
  • spunko2010spunko2010 Isle of Man
    @doubleup always wanted to 'meet' someone who was ranking in top 3 for payday loans. Is it really that profitable? I wonder why so many people try (and fail) for that KW/niche. Brag to me about how much money you made in position 3 please :D
  • @doubleup what is your url ? I bet we see many different results due to geo locations
  • edited June 2013
    I'd be interested in hearing what @spunko2010 said too. I recently tried to grab an expiring payday loans related domain but couldn't do it, it was a well old domain with a lot of high profile links and I felt shit that day lol.

    Btw, infinite congratulations for your success!
  • @spunko2010 Yes it's very profitable, but it’s very rare to see any kind of ‘spam’ site ranking for the term for longer than a week now. Still, the week is a good one. It went to #2, and it didn’t make enough as it ranked for less than a day due to a manual penalty

    @theguruland url was http://paydayloansfrommrcutts.blog.co.uk
    It’s  not ranking, as it’s long since been deleted after it was penalised.

    @Pratik Cheers

    @doubleup thanks , can you give a rough figure at least of the profit/day for being in that position? Are we talking $100 or $10,000?
  • @doubleup - lol at the domain name :D
  • Top2 Usa 300k exact searches.
  • lol the name.. i want to know what @spunko2010 asked and for how long you been on top 3, just 1 day?
