Hmm easiest way would be to collect all languages (maybe someone can download drupal language packs) that this button can have without the need to modify the engine.

That was exactly what I was trying to avoid :)

The issue being that there are multiple drupal cores out there that have multiple languages - 110 in total - and there is some differences between versions (eg save / submit in English multiplied out over many different varieties).
Of course some of these languages will be more popular than others but its still quite a task and prone to failure as new languages get translated or phrasing altered - whereas if we could select elements by ID or class as in jquery etc we'd have a really powerful, flexible and language agnostic approach

Next version will work also choose forms on IDs from buttons.
  • That's amazing, thanks Sven :)
  • If most Drupal sites don't allow posting content -- even manually -- what are they for? Why would we even consider Drupal?

Someone, above, said D has great PA/DA but if they don't allow posting... I'm confused.

Drupals are normal blogs just like wordpress.

The reason you would try to post there is because some do allow you to post content...
