Is the headless.exe crash caused by a specific platform or just Serengines v2 Beta random platform ?
  • s4nt0ss4nt0s Houston, Texas
@Anth20 @viking - there hasn't been any SERengines headless updates recently so the disappearing links would be something on SER's end.

@everyone - James is looking into a possible proxy issue that could be causing problems with links lately.

@royalmice - It's the submission engine itself that has the issue, not a specific engine.
  • @s4nt0s thanks for the update. It didn't happen across all of my projects though. Weird.

Good to hear James is looking at the proxy issue. Same one I pm'd you about.
  • hi, I have created a campaign with serengines and accounts are created correctly and consequently Articles. The problem is that the articles are posted without links (including those after the first). I set the "post the first article with no link" option as screenshots. Someone help me?
    thank youimage
  • s4nt0ss4nt0s Houston, Texas
@lellus - You also have it set to only link on 25% of the articles so the first one won't have a link and and then maybe only 1 of the articles will have a link out of the 5. Have you let all 5 articles post and check to see if any have a link?

Do you have links embedded in your article content?
  • @lellus in addition to what @S4nt0s said, I would change the settings for 5 minutes on 'time to wait on further registrations', to 5 minutes for 'time to wait between two posts' to help move it along. no need to wait that long as on your settings. Also, for my projects, I have a number that is much higher on the 'maximum accounts per site' control. Good luck.
  • @S4nt0s no, I have no link in the article. I changed the settings so that you have 75% of articles with the link, you too? or all right?

viking I changed the settings as suggested. How many accounts should be created, as you suggested?

    thanks to everyone

  • @lellus don't go crazy with accounts, but def more than 4. Depends on a lot of variables. Is this a new site? existing link profile? competition? current ranking? etc etc.  Just experiment and watch what happens. We are all guilty of wanting/expecting immediate results. But the only immediate thing in seo is a penalty. Never a strong gain. This is a new tool for all of us. We are all playing around with it. It has a serious limitation because of the number of platforms it is using. The small number is potential a footprint for G if you were to spike the accounts too much. In time, once James adds several more platforms, this will be a go-to tool, but for now use it with caution.
  • s4nt0ss4nt0s Houston, Texas
@lellus - Well 75% might be a bit much. I was mainly wanting to see if you got a link after all 5 of your posts were finished, but go ahead and try it like that to see if anything changes.
  • @viking what you say is acceptable, the tool is powerful and should be used with caution. The sites are both new and with 4-5 years of service, I have no hurry, I just wanted to know if I was out of the way or not. thank you

@s4nt0s I have fifteen items to be used (all spinned and unique and taken from real sites, not generated) and did not want to "burn" too many. I shall await the post on 5 articles and see if there is a link, thanks

  • @s4nt0s having an issue creating accounts last few days. I sent the token via pm as you know but just wanted to add this in. wikidot, ampedpages, livejournal, tripod, wordpress, all have proxy fails. i tried three separate sets of proxies from three separate vendors. all same results.

  • Cancelled this junk. Way way way beyond a joke now.
  • So much potential in this tool though @CWOODS.
Up and down at the moment myself, everything seems to have stopped.

@viking - James was looking into the proxy issue and the sites you mentioned. He said, "11:36:35: [+] 1/1 matches engine Wikidot - https://www.wikidot.com

    11:36:35: [-] 1/1 SerEngines: OPEN_PAGE - https://www.wikidot.com/default--flow/login__CreateAccountScreen
    11:36:35: [-] 1/1 SerEngines: CLICK_BUTTON - https://www.wikidot.com/default--flow/login__CreateAccountScreen
    11:36:35: [+] 1/1 registration successful - https://www.wikidot.com/default--flow/login__CreateAccount2Screen

Tried wikidot, ampedpages, livejournal, tripod, wordpress and all didnt have a proxy issue. It is very strange."

I'll see if he was using blazingseo proxies or Storm proxies.

@cwoods - No problem. I didn't see you ask for any help if you were having issues, but I understand.

  • @s4nt0s thanks for the follow up! So, James was able to create on his end, which is cool, but did he have an answer for why on my end it stopped working? I just set up another test project. Same thing. Proxy fail across the board for the most part. I am using my own dedi's and also storm's rotating proxies which rotate every three minutes. Same failure with both sets. And, fyi, these same proxies work like a champ on SER. For the few platforms that do work, I am solving the captchas manually while I figure this out. The odd thing is that even then, the submission is not registered. i.e. I answer 30 captchas and get zero submitted. So, a couple of the platforms allow my proxies, but most don't. Any ideas? Is there a newer version I can download and reinstall? Thank you.

@Anth20 does this description sound like what is happening on your side?
  • @viking I am not sure I will re-run them now, I only run x amount of times per website or niche. But they seemed to be either really slow or just sit at 0% CPU and not do anything at all.

We need a lot of engines added, like 20+ not the odd one here and there it's taking so long and patience is what I'm lacking atm haha.
  • So running as I type this, they all seem to register successfully. Except onesmablog & amped pages with responses "no engine matches".

    11:25:50: [-] 04/13 registration failed (display: list-item;">captcha error) - http://blog.fc2.com/

113 captchas correct and it's made 3 backlinks so far. And those 3 are edublogs. Seems to be the only working one at the moment.
Above I picked out the errors, are yours the same? @viking

131 captchas correct with 5 backlinks now, evenweb + populiser.

11:32:58: [-] 03/17 registration failed (Timeout occurred while waiting for command to finish) - http://www.iamsport.org

Iamsport has a terribly slow website anyway, even when I manually try view a backlink its slow as hell.

  • s4nt0ss4nt0s Houston, Texas
@viking - It's strange because I'm using the same proxies as you (storm) 50 proxy package. Is there any way James can remote log into your VPS to check it out. If so, please PM me the details.
  • I aint losing faith, I can see the good potential it has. But some days when nothing is happening, no updates, no more engines I ask myself, when how and what's being done?

They could be working their arse off right now, none of us know about it so to me it looks like nothing is getting done.

Then when I run SERE it's like a rollercoaster and unpredictable, sometimes it's going well and practically making links from 80% of the engines, then it's just a hand full of the same engine only.

I think we need some sort of update log or things James is working on at this time or something, cause right now it looks idle.
  • @S4nt0s yes, very strange. It happened across all of my projects, about 50 of them, so it wasn't a setting I changed on one.
The three sets of separate proxies work like a champ on SER, but stopping the SER projects and starting on SERE they fail, even the rotating ones. With Storm, are you using the 3 minute proxies?
The frustrating this too is that I manually answer a captcha, i.e. '5555' a basic one, and it does not register as a submitted answer.
I will keep fiddling around with things on my side and see if I can sort it out. Maybe when James does his next update it will resolve things on my side. But it is pretty frustrating when even wordpress is failing registration with proxy issues and I know it is not the proxy.
Love the software when I can get it to work. It was working like a champ.
  • s4nt0ss4nt0s Houston, Texas
@Metster - You can talk to James about that via email if you'd like.

@Anth20 - Yes I agree some sort of update log would be beneficial, I'll see if we can get something like that going.

@Viking - It's weird because there hasn't been an update to the submission engine but there has been a few SER updates so either some changes in SER are causing issues or somehow some of these sites are detecting the proxies, but the sites you're having trouble with I seem to be able to get links from so its weird. For storm proxies I'm using the "main ip's" - not the 3 minute rotating.

Also, if you go to the SEREngines API key in SER and click the update button, you will see option to force reinstall the plugin. You can also give that a try just to see if anything changes.

Headless crash is still ongoing ..... i thought that was a priority to fix.
  • @Metster, it's dead by the looks of it.. I said this last week!
  • royalmiceroyalmice WEBSITE: ---> https://asiavirtualsolutions.com | SKYPE:---> asiavirtualsolutions
Forgive me s4nt0s but this pic made me think of you handling this thread for James.
You been doing a great job being the middle man and taking all the incoming fire

    image
  • @metster yep. results are a bit harder to come by recently. I still haven't sorted the issue on my side with fresh proxies failing. And I agree it looks Iamsport is a disproportionate level of success. We all know how bad of a footprint that is.

  • @s4nt0s i think more communication from James would be a good thing for the users. Every day would be great. Even if it is a basic generic update like he was working on a particular issue. It doesn't have to be a change log, just basic communication. When the engines start breaking down and there is no updates, users get frustrated IMO. Not anything to do with you at all. You have been great through the beta. But if this is ever going to leave beta then besides working, the communication has to be there. Look at Pavel at RW, he is in the opposite category and sends out email and video updates every day. Almost too much. But that flow of information shows him as connected to the software at all times.

@everyone - Ya, I agree there needs to be more communication on updates. James agreed that some kind of update log would be a good idea. A lot of the log would just say working on the headless exe crash the last few weeks so not sure it would be very satisfying. :/

James also said about 9 hours ago, "In the last 2 weeks we have put in a over 100 hours of development changes to the DLL -> Headless communication mechanism not including my work on testing and debugging. New headless update will be out in the next day or 2. The new engines I have been working on require a new version of the DLL because there are some new commands in that which unfortunately is being held up by the crash fix development."

I really hope this finally fixes the headless crash so he can focus 100% on pushing out new engines.

  • Even if we seen a post mentioning that, that lets people know what's what right now. See we didn't even know he's still working hard on the headless update so people are left wondering.

I haven't used SERE for a week or so, only once per new link or website is enough for me.

Yeah same @s4nt0s more engines would be awesome.
  • s4nt0ss4nt0s Houston, Texas
@Anth20 - Yes I should have mentioned something sooner. He is working on an update log and also going to see if Sven will add it directly to SER so it can be accessed from there as well.
  • @s4nt0s ain't your fault mate, I appreciate you even helping/telling us in here.
