    thisisalex is right.

it seems like this is the same issue like with drupal. Sven, can you tell us whether ser is able to fill out such a one-time registration form?

drupal also changed its system and instead of sending a password and username, they just provide a one-time-login.

    is this working?
i think no and i think when gsa ser is able to do that (like xrumer does) the success rate will be 10 times higher.

by the way: i believe i you that you've got many successful posts on buddypress, but like i said, i also have hundreds, but the success rate decreased.

As I understood @thisisalex, there is no verification URL send by the site and so no login would be possible.

For Drupal, this is already done. The one-time-login is used when detected.

  • I can say it s not mail depended. tested it with trashmail, mailnesia and outlook/hotmail. hotmail had a bit better rate, but that could have been statistical deviaton of some 0,x %.. was approx 1200 different BB sites..

so... I have no clue, I have taken BB out of the engine list now.

BUT, it worked like 2 weeks ago.
  • sven, you said this about clickbucket:

    "

the engine as setup right now will wait for a verification email (and
click link) at least 300 minutes. If nothing arrives, it will try to
    login anyway."

is this true with bb also? Like I tested, if you login with the account details SER for the BB made, those accounts seem ok...

its the case for all engines yes.
  • then it should work, but it does not...... very strange indeed..

did it get better for some one in the new version?

I now did 1000 submits to different domains, new mailnesia account, and get around 280 verified articles out.
    still a bunch of "awaiting " ........

so, for me this engine is like 75% fiex and I will use it again.
  • Yeh mine is around 20% verified.. which is an ok number anyway.. I am using it again..
  • I've just tried to run a test run for Drupal and Buddypress on two identical setups - only the email address is different.

The first account is using mailnesia.com - and has close to 2200 submissions and only 30 verifieds. I then look at the mailnesia account and it looks like GSA doesn't check the mail at all. There are over 1000 mails in the inbox. I've tried to get it to verify links / mails - nothing.

The second account is going superb. Using a hotmail - already 200 verifieds and mails are getting checked - and deleted.

So what gives? Is mailnesia accounts not working with GSA right now?
  • SvenSven www.GSA-Online.de
Depends on how you use it. If you use to many mailmnesia emails, they require you to enter a captcha code to check emails. But else it is working fine. At least for me (just 10 created emails). You should paste some logs on what is happening when email verification starts.
  • Can I send to you personally?
  • that cant be. I ttest hotmail, mailnesia and trashmail, all had similar results..
  • Well it's happening to me. :)

I've tried with - and without proxies.

The project on (VE) is the mailnesia one. The one with 220 verifieds is the hotmail. I have sent the mailnesia.com account to Sven in PM.

  • Sorry for going offtopic by the way. It's not really Buddypress related.

Just an update: I've tried running 3 duplicate projects with 3 different mailproviders. Thrashmail, Mailnesia and Hotmail. They are NOT an substitue for hotmail. I have 10x the number of verifieds with Hotmail as the other two. Why? Because the other two accounts cannot be checked by GSA fully. Example - if there is 500 mails in mailnesia account, only the first mails in the RSS (AFAIK) will be checked.

Do not use mailnesia and trashmail if you want high number of verifieds... I need to go through my 40 projects now... dammit.
  • SvenSven www.GSA-Online.de
Or keep the verification to automatic and use like 10 mailmnesia accounts. This should be enough to split the amount of emails to the different accounts + do enough checks between emails arriving.
  • Mine was on automatic - and 10 mailnesia didn't help. What happened was some were empty - and some were filled with mails.
