So far watching the volatility for the Top 10 results, I'm starting to draw a clear picture of danger signs and things to look out for. Recall 'replica gucci', one of the most volatile SERPs we monitor:
Look at the volatility metrics from the last 28 days:
That tells me ranges from 1 to 20% are considered good movement. Anything above is pretty much life or death.
0% to 20% - good range and movement. 21% to 40% - pretty high - like alarmingly high. 40% to 60% - you might want to reconsider this keyword if you are thinking of long term. (if you see averages of 7, 14, and 28 days that high) 60% to 80% - you're in serious fucking trouble. 80% to 100% - You're dead. If you see constant movement like this for several days, that's the equivalent of the Sun turning into a Super Nova and destroying the earth - you're dead, we're all dead.
To get an better idea, a top 10 result moving up or down 1 position equals 1%. So a page going from position #1 to position #10 would equal 9%. Another site in the same results moving up one position would make the total 10%. A site dropping from the top 10 equals automatically the MAX of 10%. So if 3 sites drop from the top 10, that's 30% plus whatever internal movement there is additional with the other sites. 80 to 100% would equate to 8 to 10 of the pages in the top 10 moving OUT of the top 10 for those results. That's extremely rare except in manual reviews.
Now the thing about it is, you'll see today's movement, and yesterdays, if you see a high number, above 30% you need to take notice. But if you see CONSTANT high numbers in the 7 day, 14 day, or 28 day average (remember those last 3 are averages), then what you got there is an extremely explosive situation. think about it, for 30%+ you are seeing so much movement that 1-3 pages would have to be dropping out of the TOP 10 EVERY SINGLE DAY for that average to occur. This is possible in low volume keywords, but for something with even weak numbers (above 100 search a month), something is completely wrong with that niche.
Step back and look at the 'replica gucci' keyword, even with that volatility, you aren't seeing 20%+ for the 28 day results. You are seeing good movement, but nothing above that. 20%+ is alarming results if you see it for multiple days, especially in the averages. Not even super spammy stuff like 'buy viagra', 'cheap viagra', or 'generic viagra' has averages above 30%. The closest being 'cheap viagra' with a 28 day average of 26% - extremely alarming.
Look at all those blank areas in the chart, even averaging 26%, you are seeing serious strong movement - but above 30%, man, you're in some serious trouble. To put this in perspective, 26% average is 1-3 pages dropping out of the top 10 every day for 28 days straight!! That's a serious situation. If you see averages above that, PM me immediately, cause you are in a train wreck and I've got popcorn. Something as volatile as 'cheap viagra' is not a keyword or niche you want to play in for the long term, so put that into perspective.
This is currently completely my opinion - and there is no official SERPWoo stance. This is me taking notes and watching the high volatile niches and what percentages they normally average. Anything above 20% is alarming. Above 30%, is danger, above 50% - you are going to die soon - and if it's an average, at 50% - mathematically your page will be dead in 4 - 7 days - unless your one of the top 3!
Hi @elliotps932, Within the interface under Account settings >> setting section - right above the option to deleting your account - it states how to cancel - in bold. We also display our refund and cancellation policy in our terms of services as well as throughout the website pretty clearly. Regardless I responded to your customer support message personally, so you should be good to go. I sincerely hope you get back on your feet, and get through your hard times.

Is The End Near for volatility? NOPE!
So is the end of the update near? Looks like that's a Nope! at 10% today!
Hi all, I just saw the last replies. There are no plans to accept PayPal or any other forms of payment in the foreseeable future. There were too many headaches dealing with them in the past, and it's a smoother operation to go direct. We accept all major debit cards, bank cards, prepaid credit cards, or credit cards. As long as the card has a Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover Card logo on it, you'll be fine.
Virtual credit cards from places such as http://www.entropay.com/ also work perfectly with SERPWoo so that's a great solution for those without cards.
We are at the tail end of launching our new tiered pricing, so the grandfathered accounts will no longer be available. If you are interested in an unlimited featured grandfathered account (Super Beta tester), this is your last chance to get one.
We also just launched an new updated interface with project and keyword selections for users, so come and check it out! Let me know if you have any other questions.
I want to have a little fun with this new feature we're dropping. (Instructions after the link to the video)
We needed a way to make it easier to use SERPWoo and get started, and since SERPWoo revolves all around keywords with a niche, the logical step was to take the way people do keyword research and turn it on it's head - and that's what we've done.
We have SERPWoo-ed the keyword research world with our new Keyword Finder. For a long time keyword research was pretty difficult and hard to grasp the concepts of. We've made it simple. Simply input a keyword, and it will pull the top 10 websites ranking for that keyword. Then SERPWoo's Keyword Finder pulls ALL the keywords EACH top 10 website ranks for as well as the related terms for that single keyword.
You can add unlimited keywords to your personal lists, I call mine "Carter's Lists" - then export with csv, OR you can simply start tracking from the Keyword Finder interface with our "One-Click" option.
You know what, let's just cut to the video, I'm not even doing it justice by trying to explain in words what magic "feels" like:
If you watched the video, you may notice some easter eggs in there - so for a little fun experiment I want to give away free keyword boosts for every easter egg you can spot and tweet to to us "@SERPWoo" with the hashtag "#GrowthHacking", AND let us know you found. For EACH easter egg you find, we'll give you a keyword boost, the harder the easter egg, the bigger the boost - even FREE accounts are eligible for the keyword boosts. Some of them are pretty easy to spot (hear, see, touch?), others are a bit difficult! - This keyword boost is only available for the next 24 hours from the time of this post. Happy hunting!!! (Don't forget the #GrowthHacking hashtag)
(Also, look for the first reverse engineering guide on web 2.0 and parasite detection from within your specific niche Monday morning or maybe sooner - monitor our twitter account since that is where we usually announce things first).
Note: This tool is beta, so if you find any bugs, lags, or quirks, just let us know by hitting the feedback button within the main interface. If you have any suggestions on improvements and IF they make sense, we'll definitely look into implementing them.
Have a great weekend and don't for get to claim your keyword boosts by finding the easter eggs!!
^^ Do you have local clients while need to localize your search engine results pages to just within a certain area? No worries, SERPWoo has the ability to track Local SEO clients for you - and we even display the local map packs and distinguish between sitelinks and regular top results.

We've all been there or know people that have been through it. Red Flags that weren't addressed during a website creation. All businesses all need an online presence now-a-days even brick and mortar businesses. To help solve this problem I decided to venture across the pond to Canada and seek out one of the top web design agencies in the business, RedStamp.ca, and asked them to give us some questions new website owners should ask their designer/design team to get the most out of their online presence.
If you know family, friends, or colleagues looking to get a website redesigned or even a brand new website and are shopping around for qualified designers read this guide and then forward it to them to help in their venture into the digital mines. We all know getting things done right the first time are less headaches then doing them multiple times over, and Kelso explains how you can avoid this altogether by knowing what to look for and red flags.
