Can I suggest a glossary for GSA because some of these terms I have no idea what they are. So what is a footprint?

A footprint is something that let's you identify things on certain terms or phrases.
There are two categories in SEO where this term is used:
a) Footprint to identify/find sites of a certain platform/engine.
When you do a search on a search engine of your choice with "PHP-Nuke comes with absolutely no warranty" you will see a lot sites who are all buld using that platform. They can be collected and used to submit to with our tool e.g.
b) Footprint that let's e.g. google identify that certain sites/links have been build by you or a tool.
If you e.g. disable the "randomize" in the "Forum Nick" field and have it read "MY_NICHE_KEYWORD" when editing a projects data, you will end up with the same Nick on every forum link build. This can easily be seen as a footprint that could be used against you identifying all the links belonging to you and your project. Thats of course not optimal and might be used against you de-indexing all the links build by search engined.
