Scraping for keywords vs. using keywords to find target sites

edited January 2013 in Need Help
I am just trying to figure out if I am being redundant with something I am doing.

In order to find context relevant sites, I have been clicking on Options-->Advanced-->Tools-->Search Online For URLs and then entering a keyword such as *keyword* in order to export a list of identified sites.

However, when setting up a new campaign, there is also an option to "Use keywords to find target sites." If I just select that option, does it do exactly the same thing as what I am already doing? If so, it seems much more efficient to do it that way, rather than scraping online to identify a separate list of context relevant sites.

If someone could clear this up for me, I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

Yes, you can just use that option. It will than use your keyword on all search engine queries. Even on engines that would normally only use internal footprints.
  • Great, this is much easier and a big time saver. Thanks for clearing that up.
  • bookmarked for later use...thank you
