SER Hanging Problem

@Sven I get another problem here.
I want to run SER on my computer 24/7.
However, SER seems to have sudden crash and I never successfully run it for more than 24 hours.
In order words, I have to monitor my computer regularly, say every 3 or 4 hours, to make sure that SER is working properly.
That is not a good thing since I am not always next to my computer or in somewhere can use TeamViewer.
Any thing I can do reduce the hanging or crashing chance?

Don't use site lists. That's my advice. It seems everybody that has crashing issues is using site lists + scheduler. I have never used them, and I think I have crashed 4 times in one year.
  • i never use both. But still crushing occur
  • and usually crashing occur in verification process

Then you don't have enough PC resources in Ram and CPU. I know that 4 Gb Ram and 4 Core CPU's have always treated me like I was a king.
  • My computer is use for graphic work and video editing so it is more powerful than that B-)
That why I am wondering why crashing always happen to me :-L
  • @ron Maybe I do not turn off using site lists. Where can I turn it off?

This time I have successfully capture the screen when SER crash. @sven What should I do to reduce the chance of crash like this?

Try removing the duplicate urls from your global sites lists
  • Actually I don't know where is the global sites lists.
But I do not use global site.

Yes you do use global sites lists

Anyone can see by the above image that you are using them.

loaded xxxxx urls from site lists

If you don't know where they are, you should spend some time looking at the help file in ser

Two locations, main options tab > advanced and you have all four lists there.

And on each project, just below the search engine selection, you will find tick boxes for the global sites lists

  • OK, let me switch all of them off and see if I can run for longer without crash. :D

    I have another question.
But as I have been running these campaign for a few days, the LpM is going lower and lower.
Should I clone the project and use another email?
If yes, should I stop the original one or just leave both of them running?

It could be anything causing your problems.

Your using public proxies, which will be a big part of your problem

    Sort through the basics

    Proxies

    Keywords

    Search engines

    Engines used

And spend some time exploring ser, rather than jumping in all guns blazing

  • I have 10 semi-dedicated proxies.
But I afraid 10 are not enough for so much submission so I also scrape public proxies to use. Actually is that ok if I just use 10 private proxies?

    simple math:
    - you have 10 private proxies which should work 100% of time
    - you have 1000 public proxies on average which working 10% of time

so you have 1010 proxies and 110 working of them. 89.10891089108911% of time your submissions fail because of bad proxies (to slow, to dead, to whatever).

    >Actually is that ok if I just use 10 private proxies?
i think you can answer that by yourself.
  • Thanks.
Let me make some twist and try again running for more time.

Where's your proxy picture Ozz.... ;-) (I think you should leave the proxy questions for LeeG ;-) )
  • @ron and @LeeG Thanks for advice.
Now SER is not hanging :)
But LpM went down from 100 to 20 only... I think it is because I have run it for a few days, SER gets harder to find new site to post to.
