An idea about generic anchor text and domain as anchor

I have an idea how the use of generic anchor text and domain anchor can be improved and made more natural.

Now as far as I know generic anchor text or URL as anchor text just replaces the original anchor that would have been used. This makes it unnatural especially when that anchor was part of a sentence.

It would be much better if generic anchor or URL as anchor are inserted in the following way. Lets take the anchor text "Payday loans"

Payday loans (<a href="www.yoursite.com">click here for more info</a>)
Payday loans ( <a href="www.yoursite.com">click here for more info</a> )
Payday loans -<a href="www.yoursite.com">click here for more info</a>-
Payday loans - <a href="www.yoursite.com">click here for more info</a> -
Payday loans -<a href="www.yoursite.com">Yoursite.com</a>-
Payday loans (<a href="www.yoursite.com">Yoursite.com</a>)

My idea is to insert generic anchor and URL as anchor after the anchor text they should have replaced and wrap them in (), [] or - -. This will make it look much more natural and keep the flow of the sentence.

I hope this can get implemented soon as it is quite important to me and will be a big time saver. I hope everybody else can make use of it as well.

Sounds indeed as a better solution and more readable. Someone else's opinion is welcome.

This is especially good for contextual anchor texts.

I would love to hear the opinion of others so that Sven think of implementing it in the best way.

    Thank you for this.
  • OvidiusOvidius
    Is this implemented already?
It is not working for me . I use %link% in my articles and it is not working. How do you use this ?
  • SvenSven www.GSA-Online.de
It's working for generic anchors only and not for serengines.com (need to get updated for that).
  • OvidiusOvidius
    @Sven

    Yes, I see it now.

Do you plan to integrate it with domain as anchor text ?
  • SvenSven www.GSA-Online.de
yes, it's already added for upcoming version.
  • babababa
Sven still i have not getting where is the option for this.

should i use any macro fro this or just tick "use generic anchor text option" and insert generic anchor text file?

    and 1 more query.

in option tab if i tick "avoid posting url on same domain twice" then SER not post same domain on current day
and next again SER will post on those sites.
    right?
  • SvenSven www.GSA-Online.de

@baba there is no option, the anchor is modified for you automatically.

"avoid posting url on same domain twice" << this is not depending on any date..it never posts to it again if it was successful in the past.

hey sven, this will avoid posting on same domain twice only on same project, but on a new project will do post on those sites even it posted on them on a earlier project?

    @Sven

There is a bug with this generic and domain as anchor text for video articles. It is not implemented correctly on MediaXXX
  • gamble4livinggamble4living
Ovidus can you post samples of what the bug looks like.

I am experiencing a bug with domain as anchor only so far.
  • OvidiusOvidius
I'll create a new campaign for testing only and I'll post the samples. Give me a few minutes
  • OvidiusOvidius
    Anchor Text: {internet|marketing|test|test2|test3}
  • babababa
Ovidius what's the difference between good url and bad urls?
  • gamble4livinggamble4living
Same results by me but on all platforms really.

A platform such as  PHPizabi is placing links like this:
    ( ANCHOR TEXT moneysite.com )

I am not sure why is that happening but firstly the anchor text should be out of the (). And second it seems like it is a bug for all hyperlinks in the content as it is happening with randomly inserted URLs (the option under the article tab in SER).
  • gamble4livinggamble4living
Good urls is proper use of the new concept. They show examples of generic anchor which is working correctly with the format:
original anchor text (Visit this page)

Where the original anchor text is not hyperlinked.

The bad urls show the problem with domain as anchor. Instead of using the format:
    original anchor text (http://Bing.com)
    or
    original anchor text (Bing.com)

It is replacing original anchor text with the domain (the domain is not being hyperlinked in that case) and places a generic anchor after that in (). The example from the bad urls clearly shows a problem:
yahoo.co.uk (simply click the following web site)
