Hi. Does anybody have a list of, or can point me in the direction of how to find out what engines use ReCaptcha?. Seems a total waste of resources to have these engines selected when the captcha is not being solved.
Ning and XenForo use them to a high degree for example. There might be others as well, but as reCaptcha is compatible to (almost??) any platform its hard to say. Pligg for example use them very often as well, but there are still a lot of targets which using their inbuilt captchas.
To save rescources on them you need to have the "skip hard to solve captcha" option checked and optimize your engine selection by doing to compare the submission versus verification stats.
Ok thanks for that Ozz, I will stick with the skip hard to solve checkbox for now. Just testing out the new captcha sniper x4 this morning. Oh to be able to build recaptcha solving software $$$$$$$$
