Projects are still not stopping for me after recent couple of updates. After hitting the stop butting last few threds for check/send and search dont terminate. Using scraped proxies.
@Sven can we please please please resolve this issue. It has become a major problem for me. the projects will not stop making the schedular totally unusable. I have submitted another bug report today. please see the log below. it is not able to finish the last 42 threads for over 1 hr. This was just an URL import and no search was done. I did not clieck the stop button, its just not able to finish the last few threads. I also saw the same issue in SER forum and removed/renamed the libssl32 and libeay32 dlls, but same problem. It has been months now. Can we please find a solution to this.
indeed its a proxy issue in most cases. I try to replicate it to abort connection but sometimes this is deep within windows stack and nothing can be aborted/Stopped.
Switching from scraped proxies (my initial setup) to private proxies made project freezing much less of an issue, and the December WC update fixed 99% of such occurrences for me. My only similar stuck threads issue seems to come from my 3rd party captcha solver, 2captcha, but these are rare.
I'm pretty sure that when this originally started to happen on June last year I was using private proxies. Will chuck some paid ones and see how this goes. Sven said:

I can confirm that this is happening with private proxies (reproxy IPV4 200 threads) and without proxies too. I just finished sending to a list of 1 million. Only check and send , no scraping and it got stuck at last 47 threads. There were no proxies used at this time. Can we please have a solution to this.

That's strange. I'm running 300 threads on 200 reproxy IPv4s without any issues. All projects finish cleanly.

Hi @Sven, I've submitted another bug report just now. The project finished 4 hrs ago but got stuck at last 9 threads. Only submissions, no search. No Proxies. HAd to kill it using task manager so i can start the next project. Can you please provide some solution to this.

Got the bugreport...what happens if you try to stop that project?
thanks @Sven . if hit stop button, it gets stuck on Aborting. The log Keeps showing "Abort Detected" See my first comment for the screenshot. But it doesn't Aborts the project. This problem usually occurs when the project has been running for more than few hours. If you start the project and hit stop in say 15-20 mins, it eventually stops.

Hi @dp001, the biggest lists I have processed so far were around 500k records each. I am now in the process of checking a list with 3.6 million records. This is running for over 24 hours now and will take at least another day to be completed. Counters are moving up and showing progress. I'm checking and sending. The scraping is mainly done with Scrapebox, unless I want a list with a particular local/regional focus. These scrapes had just some thousands of records. CPU and RAM utilization are stable and low and I am running several other programs on the same VPS and at the same time. All of my lists and software installs are on the local harddrive, not on a network drive.
yes unfortunately still facing same issue, after the recent V5.32 update. The log now provides some more detail .. it was stuck at below for last 2 hrs and then I had to kill the program. No proxies. 400 threads to send only. No scraping , no proxy scraping. My another running project should be finished in sometime. Will chk in morning if it finishes successfully or not.

I'll be glad to run a check through your site list on my instance running (with proxies). Maybe this way we can find the reason for the issues you experience.
Why don't you check the targets before submitting? It is a waste of ressources and messages need to be send at the right time. Anything else drops your success instantly.
thanks @organiccastle .. my lists are frm my previous scraping and have been cheeked before. but i do see al ot of form not found or no content errors , which i think are due to the sites going down or changing their contact forms. I've trialled different sending times before and for my offers, it did not seem to make a lot of difference. I would be keen to understand your experience. Have sent you a message to keep this thread focused on this particular issue.
@sven have you had a chance to see the above logs and figure out what the issue might be? I really hope that there is some solution to this.

Is there a way to increase the "timeout" or maybe if using proxies, are they tested and fast?
Both these can affect connection and if timeout is low and proxies are not great, it is likely this can be part of the culprit.
Certainly, won't hurt to check/adjust.
It appears to be trying and failing same 2 sites in image above, maybe try to exclude these from process and see if maybe it skips over and continues expected process?

yes i notice that there are timed out tasks, WC usually just aborts them. In this new log display it says its aborting them for 3-4 hrs but is not able to kill them.
I haven't seen anywhere to change timeout. maybe @Sven can shed some light.
the list I have is a combination of scraped URLS from ScrapeBox and my previous WC scraping. but the project I was running was checking and sending so ideally if a URL does not have a contact page, WC will go and check if that URL has contact page listed, if there is no contact page found, it just returns the error "No contact form found" and moves on. there is no reason for it to keep the thread alive for infinite time. This should also happen as soon as I hit abort, like in ScrapeBox, when I click abort, it just stops all 1000 threads within 30 seconds, here it will just not stop a few last remaining threads, even if they are timed out. Everytime I have to end WC from task manager, which has corrupted my projects in past.
I deliberately used NO proxies for check/send so I can isolate the issue. So I cannot blame proxies now as this is happening irrespective of using proxies.
With both the examples you have pointed, if WC is getting a time out or not able to find the contact page, it should just report the error in the log and move on. It does this for hundreds and thousands of other links. If you see a screenshot I've posted above out of 218674 URLS it processed, it found errors on 133213. So there shouldn't be anything special with the stuck 40 something URLs. On top of everything, if link has timed out due to any error (like other 1000s of URLs) it just reports the error and kills the thread. But somehow its getting stuck.
I'm in no way trying to bash GSA WC or nitpick issues with it. I've been using GSA tools for a while and have always appreciated @sven and his efforts for the constant updates and bug fixes. There is probably something at my end which is causing it but the issue is just getting on my nerves to the point that I'm not using the tool for last few days as I have to constantly monitor it to check if a project is completed and then kill the software from task manager to start the new project.
The problem is that it wants to abort this task but a ABORT sent to the ssl dll is not being recognised by that and it continues this. It's not something I have control of anymore. Though I try to dig into it and see if there is a bug I can fix on a code I don't own.

I few days back read on the forum that someone was having similar issue with SER. You had advised to rename/delete two files from the below screenshot. I've tried that too and it is still not helping. Do you think a complete uninstall and reinstall would help?
I have added some workarounds that will be in next update. Hopefully tomorrow.
Hi @Sven. the workaround is working great for search threads. I have ~400 threads running and now they get aborted in 2 seconds. great stuff. however, check/send threads are still getting stuck my friend. Hope you will find a solution to this too.
Also, have you removed the "show warning" menu item that appears when you right click a project?

Projects are still not stopping for me after recent couple of updates. After hitting the stop butting last few threds for check/send and search dont terminate. Using scraped proxies.
please see the log below. it is not able to finish the last 42 threads for over 1 hr. This was just an URL import and no search was done. I did not clieck the stop button, its just not able to finish the last few threads. I also saw the same issue in SER forum and removed/renamed the libssl32 and libeay32 dlls, but same problem. It has been months now. Can we please find a solution to this.

I can confirm that this is happening with private proxies (reproxy IPV4 200 threads) and without proxies too. I just finished sending to a list of 1 million. Only check and send , no scraping and it got stuck at last 47 threads. There were no proxies used at this time. Can we please have a solution to this.
Log Below. you can see that it was stuck on 9 threads for 4+ hrs
the biggest lists I have processed so far were around 500k records each. I am now in the process of checking a list with 3.6 million records. This is running for over 24 hours now and will take at least another day to be completed. Counters are moving up and showing progress.
I'm checking and sending. The scraping is mainly done with Scrapebox, unless I want a list with a particular local/regional focus. These scrapes had just some thousands of records.
CPU and RAM utilization are stable and low and I am running several other programs on the same VPS and at the same time.
All of my lists and software installs are on the local harddrive, not on a network drive.
Are you still experiencing these issues?
Attached a screenshot of my WC instance. All projects finish regularly or can be aborted.
The last 5 tasks might take a minute or two but I can run the program without any troubles.
Version 5.32, 300 threads, +/-70/200 proxy threads in the monitor.
yes unfortunately still facing same issue, after the recent V5.32 update. The log now provides some more detail .. it was stuck at below for last 2 hrs and then I had to kill the program.
No proxies. 400 threads to send only. No scraping , no proxy scraping. My another running project should be finished in sometime. Will chk in morning if it finishes successfully or not.

Maybe, it's not worth reaching out to these few business this way . . .
If I take a look at your earlier post with more URL's I grabbed one and found "empty contact page"
So I guess, it just timed out there as nothing there and would have to search page for alternate contact emails for contacting specific departments.
Also, https://www.brainleaked.com/ is not the right page, it would be https://www.brainleaked.com/contact/
Some off those URL's I can see are similar looking issues.
