I have imported a csv with field "company"

the software puts a "+" when there is a space
Janicke Machinery Inc..  becomes
Janicke+Machinery+Inc in the message

is there a fault with the software

    Im not aware of any issue here. But if you think there is, send me the csv file or project backup as written in the email as well.
