I dont think its covered in faq...

What each background color of project status means?

active - activity: submission - thats easy

first blue - status: verification. What's strange... gsa keeps submitting

gray - status: N/A

second blue (darker) - status: verification (paused)

what are differences between those?

the different contrasts (brighter/darker) are just ment to seperate projects from each other better.
