Constant pr-? too low

  • Hi Sven, I have using public proxies for posting and pr checking and on v4.25 it runs great.

I'll have another go with v4.28 and will untick use proxies for pr checking and make a new project, then let it run for a couple of hours and see if it improves.

LeeG, what settings are you using to get 1k submissions/hr?! the best I've managed to get so far is 100/hr and thats using 100 threads and a 100meg connection

I might have to look into getting some private proxies.

If you get a drop in submissions, some times it can be caused by a lack of keywords being used, or the ones you have coming to an end.

Last nights testing, I had spent the day ruling that out of the equation by scraping 200k keywords and adding them to all my projects. Half my projects are set to a max of 100 submissions a day. Others which are multi tier are left to run with no restrictions

Im also using global site lists to help spread the load and speed things up a bit

  • LeeG, I havent tried the global site list function yet, I'll have to fire up scrapebox later and give it a try.

Sven, the new project on v4.28 with use proxies for pr unchecked is going great at the moment with 20 submissions in about 10 mins. If that keeps up I think I'll just assume that my old projects got corrupted somehow and rebuild them.

If you look around the net, you will find lists being shared.

There was something like a 6 million xrummer list about at one time

Import that and gsa will auto sort the sites into the respective engines and its a good boost to the global sites list. Plig lists, wikis, directories etc are not normally niche related. So if you find any of those being shared, again its a boost to your global lists and it saves on time wasted searching the engines

  • Thanks Lee, thats a useful tip, I will go looking for some of those lists.

Sven, with the new project set up and proxies for pr unchecked, the program ran awesomely for about 2 hours using all 100 threads constantly and submitted to about 400 sites. There is no sign of the 30sec pause between pr checks which is nice. It must have been a problem with a bad batch of proxies or a corrupt project or something.

However it is now doing something strange. Instead of using all 100 available threads constantly, as it did at the start, it seems to be using 50 threads and waiting for them to finish before it uses another 50 theads. The theads number in the bottom left will jump up to about 50 then slowly drop down to about 2 then the cycle begins again.

Needless to say the submissions have slowed down considerably since it's started to do this. I've tried restarting the PC but it makes no difference.

Is this likely to be a problem caused by using public proxies?

YES public proxies can be the fault. Disable them or use private ones and you will see it is all working better.
  • Sven, could you answer questions from my two posts above?  Thanks.

@sebo PR data is cached...no PR query is sent twice.

if the PR checkbox is disabled, it is also not used even if checked.

Im scared to update after this release.

Best part of a 24hr run now. Shut it down for an hour at one stage to add a couple more captchas to CSX

Most of the day its been running on 50 threads and I got bored and tested it more by upping the threads to 70.

    32,000+ submitted

    3,700+ confirmed

The actual amounts are slightly over at present and still climbing

Still the odd pr-? of doom shows, but not enough to cause concern
