Loaded 0 URLs from imported sites

edited September 2012 in Bugs
I make use of imported site list, and have noticed a couple if issues. I load SER, and the project is set to 'inactive' and the actual program is in 'stop' mode. I import a text file list to the project. I then click on the project so that it becomes 'active', and i then click on the 'start' button, so that it begins. One of the first things to appear, is that it states 'Attention! No more targets, but also no search engines selected in project.', it'll then start verifying links. I find this a bit weird, considering it should technically have targets due to the list i imported?

Also, after it's finished verifying, it'll then start posting to the list, however, i've come across an issue which is becoming more and more apparent. It'll post to the list, but after some time, it'll then state 'Loaded 0 URLs from imported sites', and get stuck in a loop, and constantly repeat this, without creating any new links. For example, i imported a blog comment list last night, it created a few hundred links, and has since posted '08:57:31: [ ] Loaded 0 URLs from imported sites (left file size 11971327)' repeatedly, and not created a single backlink since. Any ideas as to why?

  • is your list correctly formatted with "http://" in front of every url?
  • I would have said yes previously, as they were all scraped with scrapebox, but after looking at the list, a number of them don't start with http or https, but other characters. Is that the reason for the problem?
  • Yes, they have to start with http:// or https://. I had this "problem" too. You can write an easy macro in UltraEdit/Notepad++ to change this. Then it should work.
