Thank you for a wonderful thread. I just want to show how powerful GSA Proxy Scraper is. Here is some result from trying out ‘Search Engine Parser’ in ‘Tools’ to get URLs and then use these URLs with ‘Add’ -> ‘Search Online’ -> ‘From URL(s)’
Sure, maybe I will post the instruction as another thread later. Not sure if i did it correctly but seem working great. Just found out about the tool yesterday though
yea, it’s not too hard to use. Just remember to save the URLs as URL only so we can use it with ‘Add’. After searching for proxies, it will take awhile for processing before adding to the testing list without showing anything, so please be patient (leave it for a few hours when it's saying 'URLs to parse: 1' then the testing box will popup)
since it’s using your real IP for testing, you may try to go to the websites yourself, look for the info that the test is trying to look for (using F12 to access developer toolbox). I didn’t have time checking them all myself, but maybe some of the tests are outdated. Hopefully @Sven is checking them regularly, keeping them updated
You can get the test info from {user}\AppData\Roaming\GSA Proxy Scraper\test_data
A lot of people overlook how critical the "Alive" column is—if a proxy has been alive for weeks, that’s usually a good sign, but it’s not foolproof. Some of these can still be honeypots, so it’s better to avoid unknown ones for sensitive activities, especially if encryption isn’t in place.
Another thing worth exploring is a mobile proxy. These proxies rotate IPs based on real mobile networks, making them harder to detect and block. They’re especially useful for things like accessing geo-restricted content or managing multiple accounts without triggering red flags.

Yes this is true - Never use proxies for any sensitive work inhave many proxies that have been alive for close to 500 days
What does better mean? 1. Faster 2. More Reliable 3. Stay Alive Longer 4. Secure, but take this one with a pinch of Salt
1. Firstly in the Options Menu make sure Check All is chosen What we are actually doing is to check all the Test Sites are !! Alive! Sometimes they Go Offline
2. Click the Test Buttonand Be Patient Some Sites do Stick and sit there
I have tried experimenting with "Automatically remove proxies" enables and set it to about 1 minute My Test Results and Reliability has shot up !!
Remember is Quality not Quantity !!
3. Test All
4.You need to Disable Failed Don't worry, this dosn't Delete them, it just it Unchecks the Dead ones.
What's Probably happened is that your IP has got banned, I wouldn't worry, life goes on as this is easily fixable.
5. Press Testnow so we can test all of our Loaded Proxies.
6. You will now see some Sites are Ticked and some Unticked These are the Fastest ones or working, Unbanned ones
7. Once You have all of them Tested, the Rule is....
The More Colours, the More sites they have Passed on
Don't Forget your Ping / Speed, as this is how Fast the Site Responds back to you. If you ask somebody a Question, and they take 10 Minutes to respond, you get frustrated.
On the Internet, You Get Ping and Pong as for how Fast a Sites responds.
Except, we are in 1000th of a Second, so 1000ms = 1 Seconds So 1/1000 = 0.001 So the bottom one you see is 156ms, which is pretty fast, I generally go for 200ms Proxies
8. The Reliability Column
As you watch the Reliability column % Numbers will change if you choose more than 1 Test Retry, as above in No.6 Photo I delete any below 70%, but don't worry, you will always be able to find Proxies. I also only use Socks 4 and 5 and in all of my Tutorials, you will never see any others.
There are many other Tips, but here are the Basics.
Be careful when using Proxies, as they are not secure, but by using encrypted connections then this greatly increases your security.
