Add Tier Checking!

I noticed that GSA has one major flaw when it comes to checking tiers, for example:

Say you have 4 tiers and lets say one of your tier 1 links gets deleted by an administrator. Since GSA dose not check to see if a previous tier is valid, it will be building links to a dead tier. Meaning, tier 2-4 will be powering up a tier 1 link that is no longer valid and this is a huge waste of time.

To combat this, I think GSA should have an option were you can enable tier checking, so basically if 1 tier dies, the tiers under it will get removed.

For example:

You have 4 tiers, lets say one of your tier 2 link gets removed, the tier 3-4 (or how ever many tiers) links that was pointing to that particular tier 2 link should also get removed. Same thing for tier 3 links that was removed etc... basically, if the link that gsa was pointing to is no longer in the verified links list in the project that its building links for (like if you set gsa to build links to another campaign to create a tier structure), all the links under it should also be deleted.

It only makes sense to do this because if not your link building efforts will be slowed down traitorously do to the fact that you building backlinklinks to links that point to a dead end and not your money site which in tern takes you much longer to rank for a keyword.

Many of us have requested this already. I believe it is on Svens long to do list. In the meantime you simply have to manually reverify each tier every couple if days. Big task if you have lots of projects with tiers, but hey ho!

thisisalex  I don't think scrapebox would be good for this since it cannot check tiers not to mention, when you lead URL's that are extremely long in length scrapebox simply deletes it. Im not sure why it dose this buy Ive tested scrapebox with a few of my GSA generated links a while ago.

You just mark all your projects, right-click -> show urls -> verified
then you hit verify and delete those links that are gone!

@magicmastermind - this will delete all the pages which don't contain your link, but not the pages with a link pointing to nothing.

You can subtract the URLs from the tier above from the Link URLs of the tier you want to check, leaving you with the items which point to nothing. It demands a lot of exporting and copy/paste from SB, SER and Excel though.

    - Being able to copy the Link URLs to the clipboard (from the verified URLs popup) would make this process already a bit easier...

    - It would be even more amazing if an extra verification/check option will be added to the verified URLs popup with a name like: "Check Orphan Tiers/links" , "Check Dead Ends" which will perform the action mentioned above.(= Link URLs tier(x) - Verified URLs tier(x-1) where the Verified URLs of tier0 could be the Target URLs from the project data.

Making it easier to remove dead tiers will improve the effectiveness of campaigns drastically. I hope it will be possible to add this function soon.
