This looks really handy, Id buy it. 

How will you use the data that we enter.  Meaning if we are entering in niche sensitive data with everything from our keyword research, competitors, our Tier links, the whole smear - will that data be used in any way, massaged into another system etc...? 

Is it encrypted, and protected?  Yeah Im paranoid, but Im just asking the same thing half of the rest of people are thinking.

@loopline - At the start we won't have time to put the encryption feature in, due to our web server and the actual automation software being two completely different programming languages (hence a need for a custom encryption). Also, the automation software I am using is known to be able to be decompiled, meaning that encryption could be cracked anyways.

If, what you're really asking, is if your data will be reused/resold/etc/etc by me personally - of course not. I know how people get regarding their niches and research... that's not something I will even glance at.

The other option would be if I sold the actual web server script to people so it'd all be controlled by them, but that leads to people cracking it and not paying me - which I can't have .

If you want my honesty, more than likely it won't be protected, and you (as well as others) will simply have to trust me and the reputation my company has come to have. After that, the only worry you'd have is someone hacking my server... which, let's be honest, there's a bigger chance of a Fortune 500 company like Target getting your credit card stolen than little old BanditIM haha.

@BanditIM I wasn't trying to question your personal integrity, more merely understand how you plan to set it up. You have been around for some time and I fully believe in and use your products.  I even promote them as an affiliate.  So I trust you, I was thinking things more like if you sell the script and then people use that knowledge to get access to your server or whatever. 

I presumed you wouldn't resell project data etc... as that would negatively impact your reputation which would impact all your other products. 

Im just paranoid and wanted a little reassurance that it won't be overly easy for others to get at the data, thats all.  You answered that, thanks!

Im looking forward to using the service, time is my biggest enemy, or rather its the one resource I can't scale, and so automation is the key to that problem.

A fleeting thought - At some point you could potentially tie Scraper Bandit and The Web Dashboard together, in so much that you could set Scraper Bandit to Scrape a set of results and then have the web control panel write those results to a specified project in SER.  It could just check write the targets to one of the projects target files.  I do this now with my personal automation.  Not sure if it would be a huge benefit for most people or not, but a thought anyway.

@loopline - Answered in PM as well, but for others sake - I know you're a good man and weren't questioning it. In regards to someone hacking us... it can happen in any business and I have some really good American developers on my team that know their stuff (as well as outside consultation from system administrators, whom deal with nothing BUT security). That being said, your data COULD be hacked, I'm not denying that, but so could your SS # from the government, or your credit card information from Target. No one is safe in this blackhat world :P

Regarding that extra thought - nailed it on the head my friend! Everything will get tied together seamlessly, essentially making my services even more valuable even if they didn't appear so beforehand.

Indeed, my business paypal mastercard info has been stolen twice in the past 7 years, and I am super careful with it. 

Good to know it will all be tied together.  That will make experimenting with many different things at once quicker then doing it with my own system.  Im forever testing something, and I like to get in and get out and measure results against what I already know.  Being able to set it all up in an online control panel and just "get it done" without having to try and automate stuff like that myself, that could be really handy, plus in 1 off situations it would be really handy as well.

Got an awesome update and video for you guys! Really hoping to get beta out by the end of the week, but a huge (and I mean very very large) update for ScraperBandit is going live tonight and I don't expect it going 100% smooth.

Let me guys know if you have any suggestions/comments from what you see so far. The web dashboard that will send the API details will allow for the following details to be inputted in beta (and further extended later on) -

1. Project details (.prj file)
2. Articles (.articles file)
3. Target URLs
4. Number of verifieds to wait for before stopping the project and sending the verified's back to the server (so you can see/download the verified URLs from the web dashboard)
5. Email accounts

Everyone (and @loopline) - We've been having some struggles with our huge update for ScraperBandit (basically rewrote the entire thing from scratch). It's getting more stable now, and as soon as it is done my dev will move immediately to working on the dashboard for AutomateBandit. Thanks for your patience with us... I'm just excited to get this rolled out as you are.

I am little hesitated because it is web based, is that mean you are accessing all our data as well?

@andy1024 - Yes we would need to store and send your data to the computers you wish to send them to. If my company's reputation doesn't earn your trust, then my system is probably not for you and you're best off doing things manually rather than paying a couple dollars a month to automate it
