A log file can be created if you right click on the log window and choose "log to file".

So reading log, they are mainly like this.
316 {
date = 20081106T112317;
function = "-[BlackberryUSBDevice writeDBMessage:withCommand:withDatabaseName:withRecordHandle:]";
message = "BlackberryUSBDevice::writeDBMessage type=Get Record (1) cmd=1 db=Memos recordHandle=75";
sourceFile = "BlackberryUSBDevice.m";
sourceLine = 826;
type = 7;
What can I understand from that?

Its the same as you see in the log window just that it saves everything without showing the last 500 lines only.
