Connection timeout when using too many threads

Hi, I get connection timeouts when using too many(over 400) threads - for exaple when checking proxies against bing, and also a lot of connection errors in the SER log. When I set 300 threads these problems disappear. Is this normal?

(I use 50 semi-dedicated proxies from buyproxy and Double-time SolidSeoVPS)

yes, it's all a matter of how good your connection is.

If you're wanting to increase your threads, you will want to also increase your html timeout, doing this will allow more time for the pages to load, if you're stressing your connection with too many opened threads, these pages will take a little longer to load which is understandable.

apart from my suggestion above, proxies would be your other bottleneck, you'd need to either try a different provider or purchase more proxies to handle your threads.
  • Actually it's not a connection timeout but an unsuccessful connection (in the case of checking proxies against bing) after few seconds of trying to connect.

Have you tried running SER without any proxies to see if the problem persists?
