Is it worth pinging if you have an indexer?

I have Instantlinkindexer, so I was wondering if it is still worth pinging with GSA or just completely disable it?

    just disable it, keep the threads for link building work if you already have external software to farm out the ping task to.

    No point at all if you have a subscription for an indexing service..
