posting to the domains instead of IP

we have a client which his gsa is posting to the domains with https instead of IP (we never saw this before)

ex:  CONNECT domain1.co.uk:80 instead of   CONNECT 1.2.3.4:80

this gives a lot of issues because just few domains have https

"Proxies should resolve domain to IP" is on
"Try using proxy-keep-Alife" is off

any idea what is causing this?

naw impossible, unless the site itself redirects there.
  • any idea what could make GSA to not resolve the domains to IPs like it shoud?
A port block on the client side for the DNS?

    thank you for your help

How about a redirect in the .htaccess file - that would cause GSA SER to use https?
  • it could, but on our clients happens to all the domains so is impossible

he is using the last version of GSA

Then this is an isolated instance, as it's not occuring for the rest of us.
Does he have some kind of antivirus, keyblogger or other security enabled?
What happens if those target sites, are visited using a direct line with no proxies?
