GSA not working with global site list

I have the global site list loaded that i purchased its not working and threads acre going really slow

the error that is showing is " download failed: sock error: connection time out"

Is there any particular reason why this might be happening?

reasons can be:

- slow internet connection (increase timeout/lower threads)

- proxies down (check)

- website itself down (double click on the line to open in browser)

- blocked by firewall/anti virus
