Imagine you want the content from a domain like abc.com. You have to resolve the IP to that domain and connect to it doing the request over port 80. This resolve can be done by your local dns server configured on your network settings or you can simply let the proxy resolve it.

Not all proxies support this so you can disable it there in case you have problems.

  • Sorry if I missed your mark just here, but could you prepare a little bit as I don't understand the answer you have submitted recently. I Am quite new and I was looking for an answer as to somebody who is new being able to use this feature OR as a newbie just skipping and letting it go?

Thanks for understanding and I look forward to hearing from you

Well what exactly you didn't understand?

You can do either scenario a or b:

    a) with option to resolve domain to ip enabled:

    1. get IP of domain
    2. connect to proxy and give it ip to connect to

    b) with option disabled

    1. connect to proxy and give it the domain...proxy will resolve ip and connect to the ip.
