How to fix error messages?

johnweyjohnwey
After GSA SER runs for a while, many of my campaigns get a little red triangle with an exclamation mark in it.

When I hover the mouse over it, there is a message about websites being blocked and other stuff, which is causing the problem.

When I get this message, what can I do to solve the problem?

    This is the error message:
"No targets to post to (maybe blocked by search engines, no site list enabled, no engines allowing url extraction chosen, no scheduled posting)"

Did you look into what the error message tells you? Maybe you're not scraping enough urls to keep your cache busy?

    Hi Fakenickahl
I posted the error message in my first post - not sure about scaping URLs . . . can you post me a link where I can learn more?
I must say, although I am running 23 projects in GSA SER, I actually understand very little about it.
Pretty much all of what I know is from a blog post by Matthew Woodward.
My challenge is not so much following tactics described by people like Woodward, but actually understanding how GSA SER operates, and what it requires to operate at its best.
The online documentation is quite sparce.
Thanks for taking the time to reply . . .

You must have misunderstood me. The error message tells you what to look into to avoid it "maybe blocked by search engines, no site list enabled, no engines allowing url extraction chosen, no scheduled posting". Are your proxies burnt on the good search engines? Are you scraping a lot of search engines that returns no results at all? Are you running your projects with your verified list enabled? Or did you enable the option to extract targets from verified urls?

    1. Are your proxies burnt on the good search engines? I'm not using proxies because pretty much everyone said it's not necessary
    2. Are you scraping a lot of search engines that returns no results at all? Don't know about scraping search engines . . . is there a link I can learn it on?
    3. Are you running your projects with your verified list enabled? Sorry, I don't even know what that means!
    4. Did you enable the option to extract targets from verified urls? Don't know what that means either.

All I've done is install the software, add projects - Tier1s and 2s, and run it, configured out of a PDF by Matthew Woodward.

I've been through the online manual for GSA SER and haven't found much that will help me. One section that looked like it might is still under construction.

Are there any other links or resources I can get into?
