What happens to the sites in verified list that are no longer working?

If I use the verified list created by GSA to build links and GSA encounters some links in that list that are no longer working, does it remove those links?

    no, urls will stay in those lists.

    Then how can I clean up the lists? I would like to clean them once every two weeks or once a month. Anyway to do that?

    You got the Clean Up funtion in options->advanced->tools popup menu
