catchall email

eviltomato82eviltomato82

Hey,

I have a gmail address set up and have it broken out about 1000 times with periods in the name and +(characters) at the end of it.

I set up a pop account at my hosted site and forwarded that gmail account to it.

The only issue is that when I click the button in GSA to make my hosted email the catch all... it says it will be come the catchall for just *.myhosted.com and not everything.

Any way to make it a catch all for all emails in GSA and not try to log into that gmail account?

Thanks

ok scratch all that : ) I see that hostgator blocks catchall addresses,

I went and had an account set up with another company and was able to set a catch all in cpanel.

I don't get it.. I can get pop3 to work perfectly with email clients, but it never passes the test in GSA whether I use ssl or not.

Have you had a chance to checkout this thread by david? Has a lot of good info regarding catchall with SER: https://forum.gsa-online.de/discussion/626/details-on-using-catchall-emails/p1

Yep that article is what made me go out and decide to use my own self hosted domain.

Currently it says that It passes the test in the email tab.

Project has been running for a little bit now and I have about 500 submissions and 100 emails in my inbox. Emails are not being verified

I only added just that one address in. The name is %spinfile-names.dat%{.|-|_}%spinfile-lnames.dat%{%random-1-100%|}@domainname.

14:50:03: [!] SCRIPT ERROR - email verification used but no valid email defined!

That is the error I see in the log for my catchall

Has nothing to do with email setup but the site/engine itself. We have a thread about this already.

I was poking around in the search engine on here and didnt turn up anything about this error ( did it prior to posting this)

Could you please point me to that thread?

    Thx
