Can Ser avoid scraping huge images?

donchinodonchino https://pbn.solutions
When Ser adds a random image to article, they are often very huge all over the desktop (many engines don't limit the image size).

Can it be made so Ser scrapes only small and medium-sized images? Or if not, then that Ser limits the image with fixed width size? (only if it detects the image being more than X px width, cause otherwise all images would be the same size and that's no good)... Any ideas @Sven?

Please provide the URLs where this happens (maybe in pm).
  • Will a solution to this be implemented? SER does grab any size image and doesn't resize it. It would be good to have a MAX width, and keep the proportions. SER could then alter the size up to the max width to keep things random.

Actually Sven wrote to me that Ser has the max width but on some engines the platform itself deletes that code. One solution is removing [imageafter.com] section from content_search.dat, as this image source has large photos.
  • @donchino Thanks!

Why are the images huge in the article previews?

they shouldn't be big unless you add them yourself.
