log into your VPS/PC on your phone

Just found this article here http://www.techradar.com/news/software/applications/chrome-remote-desktop-now-serves-pc-screens-to-android-1243182 and thought some of you might find it useful.

Took me 5 minutes to set it all up and right now I'm looking at SER on my VPS on my Nexus 5 - pretty cool

Now I can log into my VPS any time and anywhere and can even do some minor things like stopping SER and runing an update when it's available

Enjoy !

Yup, the only reason I got a smartphone was to log in via RDP - never owned one before as there was no need, now I use the mo-fo more than anyone else I bet - datalogging in the car etc. I have three servers so it's pretty handy. I find that the screen of the RDP computer is way too small to make any changes, but at least I can check it on the move.

Although, it goes without saying I wouldn't use Chrome to log in. Never ever, ever. ;)
  • same here on Nexus 7 . Actually i can import lists and stuff!
  • I've been using official Microsoft RDP for quite a long time now. Is this better?
  • Desire that's what I use, too.

Spammasta, you must have teeny weeny fingers :)
