How to add %spinfile% to URL field in SER Project?

edited October 2013 in Need Help
I can add the macro and then hit "test" and everything looks great - SER is pulling the URLs from the file just fine. But, when I go to save the project SER tells me "Not a valid URL in "URL"". That it must start with "http:// or https:// and must have a valid domain".

Reason I'm doing this is because RankWyz has an app that downloads a list of your posts automatically and adds them to a text file. Their instructions are to add the spinfile macro to the URL field.

Please advise if anyone has a solution :)

Or, Mr. @Sven, Can this functionality be added to that field if it currently is not?

Thanks!

Than that file is not having one URL per line!?
  • Found the problem. The program creates the .txt with some empty lines. I manually removed them and saved the file and it worked after that.

Quick question, @Sven. When the program updates the .txt file and adds empty newlines again, will SER pass up on a property because it has no URL or will it keep looking until it finds a URL it can post from the file?

Hmm if it's really "" it moves on to the next line.
  • Awesome. Thanks! :)
