"No more links for you!" Is Hotmail history for Ser?

I have been using Ser for 1yr and successfully, so suggestions like "don't use public proxies" or "use more than one email account" are not necessary. I have read through this forum and used/tested all the tutorials and ideas.

All this time I had been using same hotmail accounts (30-40 per T1 project), and everything was working fine, till last week I noticed that Ser couldn't log in to some accounts ordered last year but never used before.

So I ordered new accounts from BanditIM (I really like the service). But the question is about Hotmail. I replaced all accounts with these fresh ones and was ready to roll.

Now I got only some articles (I wonder if they even need registration - email account). I made projects of Social Bookmarks and Social Networks and ZERO LINKS in two days. All submissions are showing "awaiting for account verification". Ser is showing email accounts as successful but logging manually in asked for phone verification and blocked account.

I haven't changed anything else but replaced hotmail accounts with fresh ones. I have 30 private proxies and everything set up as supposed to.

So I am not getting any links at all anymore. I will be buying some domain accounts to test them out, cause at the moment Ser is useless for me. And I don't see any other reason for that than EMAIL ACCOUNTS.

SO MY WONDER IS.. Does hotmail work for you? Or what emails do you use? Wouldn't be bad to share where you buy them or if you use some program to create them. When I first saw people's posts here about hotmail failing i was also thinking wtf everything works for me.. but it seems they will get us one after another...

I suppose it depends on what you're doing, but I have used both hotmail and disposable email accounts on SER and never really noticed much difference between the two.

These days I just use the disposable ones in SER, and save the Hotmail accounts for my other tools.

I guess you could set up a catch all email from one of your test domains and use that instead?

  • what do you mean by "disposable email accounts" ?
  • I mean the temporary ones that you can create in the 'email verification' tab of the edit project window. i.e mailcatch, spamavert, mailnator, etc.
  • Why not buying domains and doing catchall ? You will spend like 5$/year/domain and it creates unlimited amount of email adresses.
  • "You will spend like 5$/year/domain and it creates unlimited amount of email adresses" - could you recommend a provider that supports catchall ?

As I am from germany, I am using a german one. But there are plenty of providers with good catchall support: http://www.whoishostingthis.com/compare/catch-all-email/
  • Thanks I'll check them out.
One more thing could you provide a link to catchall detailed guide ( to use with gsa ) ? I didn't use this until now so any help will be appreciated.

But from my understanding I just forward all emails to catchall one and use that one in gsa as the email to be checked for links, right ? And does that mean that even the spam email is forward ? Is this working with hotmail/yahoo mail accounts ?

    thanks

    Everyone...

I am the owner of BanditIM. Hotmail recently disabled the ability to move your emails from the Junk folder to your Inbox. We are almost up and going again with a new provider and will be sending out an email to everyone within the next 12 hours. Hang in there with us!

    Thanks,

    Neil

I know firsthand that Hostgator does that. So you get a $4 .info domain. Set-up a "catchall", and you are off to the races.

When you don't know where to find an answer, always use the following:

    site:forum.gsa-online.de/ "catchall email"

File that somewhere - I use this thing all the time.

  • "and will be sending out an email to everyone within the next 12 hours" - ok,I'll wait 12 hours no more :)
  • @theman1 Can you explain to me why you think that Hotmail disabled that feature? When I go to message rules, the only thing that I see disabled is email forwarding at the bottom of the list.

After all my old hotmail emails were disabled, I bought new hotmail accounts from BanditIM, and they seem to be working so far. I also bought some domain emails additionally but haven't tested them yet.
@theman1 as I understand you cannot create new accounts atm but past orders are working? Please let me know also when you have new solution, thanks.

@cucurucu - Unfortunately our bot is screwing up on the disabling of AOL's spam filter. We had it working before, but messed something up. I'm sorry for the wait - we're working as hard as we can!

@donchino - I don't believe past accounts are working either from what people are telling me. Hotmail has a specific message in the 'Filter emails' settings that says they have disabled that function to deter spammers (haha). AOL seems like the next best solution, so we're right on it!
  • I do not understand about this catchall thing at all. Could someone shed a light in brief?

    Thank you.

@Pratik, and everyone else -- I used to use catchall myself, and it worked WONDERFULLY.... for a while. That is the exact reason I made my own bot to create Hotmail accounts.

The reason it doesn't work as well as you'd hope is because all the anti-spam plugins out there ban you extremely fast when you're using this method. At the speed and rate that I used to build backlinks, I was getting banned in 1-2 days for each DOMAIN. So that means I'd have to purchase a new domain in that timeframe - which is much more expensive than just buying/creating 1000 Hotmail accounts.

how would you know if your whole domain is banned ?
  • BlazingSEOBlazingSEO http://blazingseollc.com/proxy
@magicmastermind - GSA 'blacklist' lists a few on the Email tab, but here's one I check manually often:

And you just enter your domain in the search field and it shows up as beeing marked as spammed ? I just tried all my 5 catchall domains which I am using for over a year now and it came up with nothing ...

Try the advanced search. Also, make sure to check all the other 'blacklist sites' that GSA has on the Email tab.
