"It's not really recommended to use more than 100 threads"

I increased my threads on the settings page and now I see this message in bold and red.

"It's not really recommended to use more than 100 threads"

What's that about?

Just what it reads! :) Most people think it's a good idea to increase this to the maximum, but in the end there line or cpu is not as strong. 100 is the maximum that a good line with a good router can handle.
  • For a VPS with 3x 3.2, 4 GB Ram and 1GB connection (according to speedtest getting 350 up / 480 down) and 50 private proxys from buyproxies, would you say 200 thread is fine or better stay at 100 ?

Can't say much to that. 200 might be good with a high timeout...test it yourself (watch LpM).

You could probably go 400+ threads with that, run some test and see what gives you best results.
  • Thanks for the replies, will definitely test it!
  • did i just read @sven saying (watch LpM)  :-O

Haha yea @rodol :) For that kind of things it is good. But I still don't see a use in watching that and have a talk about successful verification rates.
  • Last time I benchmarked, 40 threads on my box more success than > 40.
That was before I got private proxies though. Need to test again.
But more is sometimes less. Have to benchmark things...
