How to use proxies with Indexer

Is it possible? As far I can tell, it is just using my normal IP address.

    You're right - no proxies.

Why do you need proxies for indexing?

^ Because my IP gets blocked from DomainTools WHOIS after using GSA.

So I'm wondering if this means some sites are not being added as they have blocked my IP from hitting them every few seconds. I would like to hear Sven's thoughts on this, maybe allow Proxy support in this?

That's weird because I have been using Indexer on my home PC for the last 5 days (pretty much nonstop) and I was just able to go into whois.net just fine.

By the way, I always setup one of my proxies in Internet Explorer as a just-in-case measure - and you can always use that instead of your regular IP.

  • Sven said he will do the proxy in another thread. But then I have not heard anything after that. Good you bring it up.

Is it just my issue but every time I restart or upgrade SEI it then resets back to non-proxy.
