grabbing meta descriptions and some text in url crawler

edited March 2013 in Feature Requests
What would be cool
would be
something that
could crawl a list of urls in the online crawler and the online crawler picks up the meta descriptions for the urls and also a feature that allowed it to scrape some text from the page as well... very useful if the  you could import and spin it in gsa for your projects.

Only a idea... im happy with gsa search engine ranker anyway today 2 hours managed to get 1.3k verified.......... thank you

Would be useful for social bookmarks or small text things to submit and would be able to get loads of unique content that can be easily spun 1 and then move on to the next meta descriptions or a opening paragraph on a article so the spin doesn't have to be to heavy...

@sven - how does this feature work? Maybe I'm missing something obvious..
  • SvenSven www.GSA-Online.de

for tiers it is using meta description and title of the webpage for social bookmarks.

the script syntax is "alternative data=".

Does it do it automatically or do we need to enable it to be used instead of the title & description we input? I.e. when does it get used?
  • SvenSven www.GSA-Online.de
It does sthat automatically for many versions now.

@Sven - feeling a little slow...For Tier projects, it ignores the title and description we set in SER and uses a scraped one? Or does this only occur if the SER fields are blank?
  • SvenSven www.GSA-Online.de
It is using meta data on tier projects, not only if they are blank. It however uses the project data if there is no proper meta data (e.g. too short or alike).
