Intro: The Panic and the Illusion

Marketers are in a state of panic. SEO is "dead," link-through rates are plummeting, and digital promotion seems futile as LLMs dominate user attention. Naturally, a wave of experts has emerged, offering advice on how businesses can get "noticed" by AI. And, like clockwork, "GEO" (Generative Engine Optimisation) services have flooded the market.

In this article, I will explain why SEO isn't going anywhere and why most current theories on GEO are fundamentally flawed.

I've still not seen anyone promoting GEO being able to list anything that isn't just part of good standard SEO.

SEO isn't dead, it just changed it shape. And SEO will never die (if it dies, there will be no site authority). What it could do, just changing it, is shape.

SEO isnt dead its evolving and instead of chasing GEO hype the real win is combining strong SEO fundamentals with useful AI driven content and earning natural mentions like Ranker AI that search engines and LLMs actually trust.
