  Hi, Frank. I've checked with and without proxies. 

  
  

  The advantages: You end up with proxies not tied up doing this task

                             You don't ever get false fails bc of proxies being down or otherwise of issue

                              Not limited threads by number of proxies

  
  

  The disadvantages: You leak the URL of the target IP to your router and ISP. (You may have reasons not to want either, or not care)

                                  Perhaps your IP could get banned if you hit pages that have been labeled as spam? Don't know about that one...

                                  ?????????? Anyone else have anything>?>

  Using a VPN so probably no problem with the ISP.

  I have read about using a VPN with SER.  Is that really okay? Do people get banned? It creates a weird footprint using SEO stuff with a VPN. It's clearly not just "surfing the web." Do they care?

  Anyone else have any ideas on this? While I do like doing my own thing and learning in that way, sometimes with time, when it could be easier just listening to people, when it comes to this, I really would like to know what others with more experience know with regard to this.  I don't want to get my VPN turned off bc I was using SEO tools with it. Thanks to @UncleFrank, truly. I appreciate your accounting.

  Also...if you're using public proxies, a lot of what I considered doesn't apply. Conserving proxies really only applies for your own Shared/Private Proxies.
