Help Needed: Setting Up External Indexing Server with GSA SEO Indexer & Redirect PRO
Hi, I hope you're doing well.
I'm looking to set up a dedicated indexing server that will continuously run GSA SEO Indexer and GSA URL Redirect PRO externally, and be fully integrated with GSA Search Engine Ranker (GSA SER).
The goal is for all GSA SER campaigns to automatically send their verified links to this external indexing server for continuous processing—without relying on third-party indexing services, which can become quite expensive at scale.
Previously, I tried integrating GSA SER with Redirect PRO and linked GSA SEO Indexer within Redirect PRO. However, this caused issues: the system ended up in a never-ending loop of link processing, consuming excessive server resources and sometimes crashing the VPS. It kept restarting and reprocessing links indefinitely, making it unstable and unusable.
My questions:
-
What VPS/server specifications would you recommend for running GSA Redirect PRO and SEO Indexer 24/7, in sync with GSA SER?
-
What are the optimal settings or best practices to configure both tools (Redirect PRO and SEO Indexer) to prevent loops, crashes, or redundant processing?
I want to make sure the setup is efficient, stable, and sustainable without third-party indexers.
Thank you for your guidance!

Check your VPS's CPU, memory and network load.
I’ve seen similar setups before, and that looping issue is pretty common when the tools aren’t synced right. For your VPS, something like 4-8 CPU cores and at least 8-16GB RAM usually handles GSA tools fine running 24/7, but it depends on how many links you’re processing.
As for settings, make sure Redirect PRO isn’t set to re-index links already processed by SEO Indexer - that’s often what causes the loop. Also, try to separate the workflow clearly: GSA SER sends verified links to SEO Indexer only, and Redirect PRO handles redirects independently, not in a feedback loop.
