As with everything, there is no MUST-HAVE-BUY. But yes, using a proper captcha setup helps a lot. It can be GSA Captcha Breaker or any other captcha solution like 2captcha.com.

That log entries mean that a submitted link is not getting verified after a longer try. SER submitted successfully there but the admin probably didn't approve the link and so it will simply remove it from checking again and again resulting in that message.

The indexing problem is well known. It depends on your link quality and if you are relying on blog comments its hard seeing them indexed indeed.

I just wanted to add to all the informative responses...maybe just think of this as just experimentation. There is no one way to proceed and do SEO. Test anti-CAPTCHA services and programs. See what works for your situation and backlinking strategy and specific niche.
You can use GSA Captcha Solver with an external API-based service to cover Google reCaptcha 2 and 3.
I do suggest starting out with a good catch-all e-mail provider, captcha solver, set of proxies, and indexer. A link list can help, but isn't necessary.
If you need to keep costs down, or work within your resources, consider filtering projects.
