Proxy For Verification?

Hello, GSA pplz! :)
My question: Are proxies needed for verification?
I am thinking no...tho I've had it set to use proxies all these years...
I mean, it's just  random IP hitting some site. So why proxy that connection?

    I've found I get slightly better verification rates if I don't use proxies for verification.

    Very curious to know what others think about this? I want to turn off proxies for verification, but not sure what is the right setting here.

    Hello,
    I think that you have to think about your strategies if you have vpm elevator you have to check with proxies if your speed is slow or moderate you can try.
