How does CG calculate the number of words filter? Is the number of words taken from the entire body tag or the words within the elements/selectors that it has scraped from the page?

    It's the amount of words it could extract and possible be used for the new article.

    I’m curious to know how it is extracting the words, so that I can know how many words to tell it to extract at a minimum with better accuracy.

    Uhf thats complicated. It analyses the html structure and tries to locate the keywords in it followed by extracting the surrounding text and checking what could be the article title and what belongs to the article in addition.
