How Does GSASER Work With Lists?

I finally subscribed to a list, and it's synced via dropbox.

I know I could also specify a file with targets, but using the global lists permits a folder with files for targets matching engines, for those who never did this.

My question relates to how SER deals with a global link target source.

Does SER cycle through engines?

And what about the new files that arrive with updates?

Thanks! :)

  • If you purchased a list then your targets are supposedly in files named according to engines. When SER builds a global target list, it also place the links into files.

New files will overwrite the old files in the same folder.

But does SER cycle through engines like it does under usual circumstance when using Global Lists?

SER doesn't care if the file is local or remote via dropbox. It will always randomize on the file location and the file itself in that folder.

    OK, sven. I get it.

The source of the target doesn't affect anything, whether a file or global list or SER-scraped targets.

Hmm...when there is no list, I guess SER has to just choose randomly between engines selected, just like a KW search is randomized.

For a list, it would have to be engines selected AND lists for engines present in folder (for global), no?
