Port Scanner Question

When I go to Proxy Scanner:

Add>>Proxy Scanner>>Open

the ports show as:

127.0.0.1ÿ8080ÿÿÿConnect

When i check/uncheck/recheck "Use a proxy when scanning" I see I have PS set to use IP 127.0.0.1, Port 8080, and Connect Proxy type.

I am a confused. I would have thought this blank was for the target IP port range.

If so, how do i enter it?

Just like: 1 - 888
or
1,8080,8888?

What about if left blank? Does it then scan ALL ports on IP range or single IP?

Thanks. Hope everyone is well.

This 127.0.0.1:8080 as a proxy used for port scanning, is in the end using the GSA Proxy Scraper itself and pulls a random proxy from it's list to do the scan.

You can of course use any other proxy you have or a good stable one from the list.

Sven, the 'Ports' field on the 'Port Scanning' Pop-up Window showed:

    127.0.0.1ÿ8080ÿÿÿConnect

but now shows a list of ports that I remember putting into the field a while back. (8080,1080,60088,3128,8118,3127,3128,8123,81)
I didn't change any settings just now!

The 'Proxy settings' pop-up window is set to:
    Host/IP: 127.0.0.1
    Port: 8080
    Login:
    PW:
    Type: Connect

Is it a bug that 127.0.0.1ÿ8080ÿÿÿConnect showed in the 'Port Scanning' Pop-up in the Ports field, then when I first open the module?

I entered  1- 8888 in the 'Ports' field and PS is showing x/8888 Scanned so far.

So I guess that's an OK format?

"new update (online in some seconds) should fix it."

To anyone new to GSA: This actually happened and the update was there, as Sven said it would be!!

Imagine any other software company making updates that quick?!?!?

    I can't. Thanks, Sven! :)
