What tool are you using to track your backlinks? There is another thread about tracking rankings, but I want a tool to track number of backlinks.

Anybody have any suggestions?

    Unless u have high quality authoritive website where people naturally link back to u (which is rare)...u r the one who knows better about what back links u have build...I i use BLM to track my links

    @senty4love - what is BLM?

    @Brandon - is that the free or paid version?

    Also - do the tools send you a weekly report?
  • Blm is back link monitor from inspyder. Only tool to track your tiers...

    ahrefs
  • Blm can schedule reports and email them.

    Pro level move: Use htaccess to block spiders from majestic, ahrefs and others. Competitors won't be able to view your backlinks. And neither will you.

    Less information is bliss :)

    test ahrefs and majestic. ahref is my favorite and free for own sites.

    @Ron .. competitors still access all your link profile..with htaccess you can block spiders accessing your site..so any link you put on your site is not accessible [good if you run your own private network..though ahrefs has got proxy spider through different domain..so they can still access your links]..You can't block other sites linking to you :-)

    It screws up the connection when you block the bots. Try it ;)

    Seems as if BLM is pretty nice for a one time payment! I don't see myself paying for a monthly service to only gain access to backlinks. There are MUCH more better ways to spend that.....IMHO.

    @globalGoogler Majestic is paid...something like $30-40 a month I think.

    @grafx77 & @m1xf1 - I think for the tool you have to insert links for it to check. I'd like it to just count the number of links per week that are found for a domain and email me a weekly report. I'm waiting for inspyder support to confirm this as I couldn't find the feature I was looking for on it.
