How Does SER Know That A Tiered Link Is Still Connected?

I mean, I know SER knows when a tiered link is broken, b/c that's what ppl have writtten on these boards in past.

Do I have to either re-verify manually or set to Re-verify for this to happen?

I'm confused about this part....thanks...

If you enable re-verify on all projects (tier one and upper main project) it will:
    a) remove links where the submitted link is no longer present(server down, admin removed link,...)
    b) remove links where the placed link is no longer part of the main project's verified URLs (removed by main project).

Note to b): If an account was created for that link, it will try to reuse that one and place a new link.

Just as an aside to this main Question, as it's peripheral but related:

Should the main projects then also have re-verify on?

I am guessing not, because you don't want this level of links going away if you randomly get no connection by chance, because then you undo tons of work at higher tiers??

the main project should also have re-verify enabled if you can not be sure that all verified links are staying live.

OK. I have this set on some, but not all projects.

I used to manually re-verify, but I haven't kept up with it.

I'll either set all projects to re-verify or change global setting.

    Thanks, Sven. :)
