Post To Specific Category For Self-Hosted WordPress Domains.

shaunshaun https://www.youtube.com/ShaunMarrs
Evening @Sven,

I have noticed a category box on the Data tab of SER for some engines but this doesn't appear when you only have WordPress selected. Is there any way you could update the WordPress script to enable it to post to the specific category the user selects?

If you need a test domain to update the script let me know and I will send you the details for one of my Wordpress test sites.

Cheers

Shaun

right now it adds the tag as new category. I have changed it to %category% on next update.

So just to confirm, SER will only post to existing categories in the next update or will it auto create a new one if it doesn't exist?

Also, does that mean that the catagory option on the data tab for some CMS' will be displayed for WordPress from the next update?

    Cheers

previously it created its own category based on anchor texts or keywords (tag). I have changed that to use the category on next update.
nothing else was changed here and it should work as before.

@sven had a chance to check this out I think the script has something in it to force it to go to the below path...

    http://domain.com/wp-login.php

But I use custom domain logins and thats what I import to the project to when importing the login details. Is there anyway to have SER check for a custom path to login at as below?

    http://domain.com/12345abcde

you would have to modify the engine here...or msg me the real url in pm and i try to optimize things based on that.

This means nothing to me but you may understand it....

Thats how Scrapebox do it without the need to modify each domains custom url path each time. Is there any scope for that to be added to SER?
  • sven  I just want to make sure that if I have multiple categories the article just randomly post under those category?
  • SvenSven www.GSA-Online.de
@andy1024 yes a random one will be used.
@shaun i know what that is, though i refused to add this posting since not all sites support it. But they all should support legendary posting via login/posting and not that api. However, if you have the domain in pm i want to work on that instead. if you want, you can create an engine of xmlrpc.php very easily when following this guide.
  • SvenSven www.GSA-Online.de
yes of course i can add support using that xmlrpc.php thing. But then again I find it better if you would use normal login/register/submit via browser. The reason is simply, it looks more valid and each site supporting xmlrpc.php would also allow you to posz with browser i guess.

anyway, if you send me some account details i can script an engine using xmlrpc.php and you can decide what to use on next update.

The idea behind this is for self hosted domains that the user owns. Been using scrapebox to do it and its working perfectly for my PBN/BN domains with custom login paths.

Inboxed you the details for one of my domains, it is just a test domain so it has the regular login path, if you need it changing just let me know.

@sven I needed to post some content out today and noticed that SER gives a ...

    06:27:22: [-] 1/1 unknown login status - http://domain/xmlrpc.php

error. I checked the same domain with Scrapebox and it was able to post to it fine. Not sure if something has been changed to cause the problem in the recent updates.

[Edit] Just tried the regular wordpress engine and it comes up with ...

06:33:10: [-] 1/1 registration failed (user registration is currently not allowed.)

Even though I am providing it with the login details for an account.
