How to stop GSA verifying links?

How do I stop GSA verifying links?

I've set the "When to verify" option to "Never / Disabled" but the number of verified links continues to increase.

    well what did you expect? the number increases as you do not want to verify them...

    But why would the number of verified links increase if they are not being verified?

    Surely only the number of submitted links should increase.

    To me, if the number of verified links is increasing - that is showing they are being verified.

    they are collected , you can not stop that. What would that be useful for other than negative seo!? I hope you are not into that.

    Not sure what you mean by "collected".

    I just assumed that when not verifying only the number of submitted links would rise and the number of verified links would stay at zero.

    oh so you mean it is actually adding verified links to your list....well yes that happens on some engines where the submitted link results in a direct verified one...you cant do anything about it....but it is also not limiting anything here in terms of speed.
