    I can guarantee that this is no update issue. Just bad luck I would say? When you say 5k proxies and now just 2k proxies...you mean you get that each time you test? Because Once you have 5k proxies it's more or less the same number or slowly increasing. It's not getting you 5k new proxies on each scrapping!?
