Verification in Proxy Settings
Just wanted to be clear what this option does in the Proxy configuration where you can select Public/Private.
Does this just go and load the website where the link was placed and see if it is there or not?
If that's the case I dont see a reason to use proxies because I want to give it a chance to breathe so I don't hammer on them.

yes, verification is just doing a download and checks if URL is present.
Of course sometimes it does more than that when some engines require SER to do a search on the site via the search-form. But thats not many engines.
