proxy does not work with SER but it works with firefox

I have 20 new proxies from proxyhub, 1 of them has never worked. I have checked it every day for 3 days.

Yet it works fine as a proxy in firefox, and very fast too.

Anyone have any idea what is going on?

    Well anything you like. Use an URL thats alive and view the source. There you pick a unique string that should always appear. Just make sure that the taken string is not part of the URL as well.

    it worked when i searched for 'horse' on bing :/ why would it not like the default search?

    I don't get your question really. I though you where asking about a different way to test the proxy!?
